    Default Good BMW mechanic

My brother is looking at buying a used car up here in Arlington, but he lives in Austin so he wanted me to go and take the car somewhere to have it checked out, but I called one of the local dealerships and they wanted $260 for it So my question is, where is a good mechanic that I could take it to in Arlington?

I know a guy that works on a lot of BMWs and has a good eye for finding problems on bimmers. Let me know if you'd like me to ask if he could do a PPI for a small fee or if he knows a good shop.

What kind of BMW is it?

Try Autoscope in Plano. Owned and run by an enthusiast and BMWCCA member. I'd trust Nerces' opinion on a used car purchase.

BTW, Autobahn in Ft. Worth is my favorite Bimmer dealer in town. Try giving them a call and asking who they would suggest for a PPI.
