Thread: Blackout tail light covers

    Default Blackout tail light covers

Anyone know where I can get some of those blackout tail light covers for a 90-97 Miata? Bean seems to think it would look good on my car. I want to look into it but can't seem to find anything but the spray on stuff.

    Yeah...

I knew I saw them somewhere. I don't think I'll do it though...

Why hide my pretty (to me anyway) lights?

Yeah, but isn't it hard not to give them a try for $39.95? If you end up not liking them, you likely could sell them on Ebay for close to what you paid.

Just curious what's Johny Laws stand on tinted out lights?

Last time I got pulled over for a minor moving violation the officer spent a great deal of time making sure my car complied to all applicable codes.

What you can actualy do to test out the look without actualy purchasing anything is use panty-hose and just wrap it around the plastic cover

I know that under state inspection you have to have this:

    15. Rear Red Reflectors (2)
And if statey feels they aren't red, well, then they aren't red. You might get a fix it ticket or a full out citation or nothing might be said. A very subjective call...

I'm trying to find in the Texas driving laws page the line about the lights not being obstructed... and again, that could be subject to the troopers mood.

    I'm still looking for it...
