Default Dodge Hornet -- Now there's an xB knock-off I'd buy

This Hornet concept, goes after the small, spiffy and economical European B-segment. The hunched down, wide-bodied, front-wheel-drive hatch will run 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds, thanks to a single-cam 1.6-liter supercharged four-cylinder that generates 170 hp and 165 lb-ft. The engine mates to a six-speed manual transmission. While performance is important to Europeans, practicality reigns supreme in this class. The trendy interior makes the most of its compact dimensions with the front passenger seat and the rear seats all capable of folding forward to provide a flat loading bay.

I like it. Sort of Ram meets Mini.

I think it works... kind of a 4 door Mini, and a lot more appealing than an Xb. The question is going to be the how much... is it going to cost me Xb $$ or Mini $$$?

I just saw that in Autoweek. They mentioned something about using some special 'thin' foam in the seats to save space. Obvious from that side shot. It's definately Mini'ish.

Seats look uncomfortable as hell~ Do kinda like the blue tint tho.

Are those lights on the side mirrors?

Betcha the production model of that will look like a pos~ no scoop on the hood, and basically everything cool taken off

I wonder if that is a real intercooler down in front or just a piece of painted plastic that looks like one...

Well it is supercharged... I'd suspect it's a real I/C

If I recall, isn't this using the same driveline as the Mini?

I think I'd rather have a Mini Cooper S or a MkV GTI.

I like everything except the mirrors.
Wealth, power, and experience are apparently not enough to save us from social influences. Groupthink, as described by I.L.Janis, is the tendency for group members to reach a consensus opinion, even if that decision is downright stupid (Janis 1982).

Well, yes. If it cost $23k, then so would I! I imagine it will be priced below the Caliber, which starts at $13,400.
