Thread: Plug vs Patch

    Default Plug vs Patch

Is patch is safer than plug for repair nail in tire? When I pull the Azenis off after the S2K event today I find a nail in one of the tires.

I wonder I can go for the TCB fix with a plug? These tires are for AX. Is it safe to use plug?

    Thanks for the opinions.

Patch the tire....I don't think it will break the bank. Try one of the Hispanic Owned Tire Shops. They are very reasonable......There are several in Arlington and Grand Prairie....
I don't think there are any in Frisco

Discount does it for free IIRC. Unless it is close to the sidewall, then they wont do it at all.

Would that be as cheap as one of the Hispanic tire shops?

What qualifies a Hispanic tire shop? I don't think I've ever bought a Hispanic tire. Who makes them?

By the way, I'm just joking... don't take me serious!

we have one of those at my shop. if youre nearby, drop off the wheel w/ me and ill fix it and bring it back. or you can visit me....

itll cost you a grand total of $free fifty-free, or a coke from the vending machine, whichever is less.

Thanks BAM! I think the Hispanic shops (too bad they all close tomorrow ) are cheaper than the gas it take to go to your place.

Man, that's hilarious! I thought I was the only one that uses them! My favorite is the one on Main Street in downtown Mansfield.

Or you could go to Wally World and get a set of 5 tyre plugs for about $5 and do it yourself. I keep some in the trunk with an air pump in lue of a spare!
