I'll be there in GS. My wife has not made up her mind yet, maybe, maybe not.

So, somewhere in the range of 2 or 3 minutes, eh? At least it'll be a short outing with the new Cobalt.

Will there be loaner helmets available at this event, as with SCCA events?

One more question (sorry!) - the SCCA event last weekend involved corner working for a very long time prior to driving. My girlfriend might come to this one, but she didn't care for the long wait time prior to riding with me. My question, then, is how many people are usually at the ER events, and/or how efficiently are they run?

Sorry for all the questions, but, well, there's a lot of stuff I don't know .

ER runs events very similiar to SCCA. Expect crowds and lots of standing around.

But Gerry will probably split the groups up into 3 run groups. Hell I'm doing 3 run groups at my pca event with 80 people.....guess how long my heats are? 6 runs and about 1 hour long......how???? just have smaller run groups and tell the corner workers to bust some ass for 1 hour to get a heat off and nly have to run for an hour......hour and a half tops......its all about organazation....you only NEED 2 workers for a corner....but it's hard to convince folks of that who work corners.

ER and SCCA boht try hard, but it's a learning process. I wwent to the ER mirror cross event and yes it had problems.....but Gerry ran himself to death making it work.......I see the same thing from Matt at the SCCA events.....

Things may not go as smoothly as we like but both groups try hard. And the more people support their local groups and help out the better it will be.

The buzzword is always volunteer. People who always take take take take from a club or clubs and never do any extra or help out any more than their work assignment requires usually dont get the grease when they squeak.....its the ones who are making an effort to help out and improve things that get things done and get their ideas implimented.

Lots of you do help out....and thats great....but for those who have never done it before....try it....get there early and help with setup...stay late and do pickup.....do a 2nd work assignment......the more people who help the smoother things run. :)
