Default so is the mazda millenia on point, or faded?

I found a two tone white one dirt cheap with 50k on the odometer. Should I buy it, or do they have some shitty problems that I'm unaware to?

I don't know much about them, but I think they are great looking cars.

My neighbor's wife has had one since new. I don't ever recall them complaining about having issues with it.

I have a 97 Millenia S. It is a great car and the "S" has a very strong engine. If you are looking at a non-S it should be slower and very much like the Accord or Camary, nothing special. The major thing I don't like much is the suspension. It is too soft (my daily driver is the 99 Sport Miata) and tends to step side way every so slightly when goes over bump that you can feel it but is not big deal. This suspension problem is worse when you have cheap tires. Side to side motion is not bad.

The bottom line is $$$. The non-S should be cheaper to buy and maintain. You may want to try it before you buy. The non-S is very ho hum in the powder department. The interior is nice but is no big deal by today's standard. There are better riding cars out there. I love the look and like the two tone white/gold model. Those are reasons that I opt for the S model knowing that I have to pay the extra and maintain for the Miller-cycle engine. Actually, it is not that bad since I take it to Marvel Speed for service. All the $ spent are regular stuffs for a car this old. The only major non-regular stuff is the supercharger. The bearing is shot. I am going to put in a new supercharger later that I picked up for $300 from EBay (retail for $3K).

I'm after one of these without the miller cycle crap. I'd still like to get my hands on a 2nd gen 3.2TL, but I worry about the random transmission catastrophies.

    Here's Geek for you.

A parsec is a distance of about 3.26 light years. It is not a unit of time as suggested by the quote. It would be like saying he made the drive to Dallas in less than twelve miles. Uh... okay.

*sigh*... you guys really aren't up on your Star Wars trivia are you??? This has already been resolved... LINK

On his audio commentary of A New Hope George Lucas finally commented on the oft discussed misinterpretation and put the issue to rest (as far as his original intentions were concerned). In the Star Wars universe, traveling any distance through hyperspace requires careful navigation to avoid stars, planets, asteroids or any such obstacles. Since no long-distance journey can be made in a straight line, the "fastest" ship is the ship that can plot the most direct course through space, thereby traveling the least distance. This depends on the skill of the navigator and the sophistication of the ship's navigational computer. With this premise in mind we can infer that the Kessel Run is a hazardous and convoluted transport route which had only been navigated at a distance of 12 parsecs until Han Solo had beaten this record. This would make the Expanded Universe's Maw black hole cluster idea in relatively close keeping with film's original intentions regarding the infamous Kessel Run.

I always thought a parsec or lightyear could be interpreted as a distance, since the measure is an interpretation of light velocity.

I made the drive from Frisco to work near downtown Dallas in 7.5 parsecs once.

Although I had to bullsh*t my way out of a ticket doing so...

We had one from 2001 until about 3 weeks ago. 2.5 v6, not the supercharged engine. Good car, no repairs ever except an O2 sensor. The engine is fine, but not really fast. The ride is more Buick than BMW. I still think they are nice looking cars.
