Question I think my Azeni's are toast

I was putting on my crunchy set of 215's for their farewell tour tomorrow. I noticed thread-cord in the grooves of the tires. No sign of cord on the external part of the tires, but the grooves are full of them.

Caught me by surprise. Anyone ever seen that before? (I'll be running my daily driver Kook's BTW)

What's the date code? I'm guessing it's more age related than wear related but what do I know.

I'm pretty sure the next SCCA event will be it for my 215's, they are SLICKS! I haven't seen any chord, but then again they are back in Whitesboro right now.

Don't know, but they are old. Probably pushing 2 AX seasons or more. I knew they were short lived.

Mystery solved...the lines I thought were cords, are actually factory paint markings from when the tires were new.
