Thread: TCB Fix For Windshield

    Default TCB Fix For Windshield

Anyone has a TCB fix for pitted windshield? I also have a couple of chips which I reparied with "glue" I bought from the Zone.

I know we went over this in the past, but no one seems to have a good solution. The windshield of my 99 is so badly pitted that it is getting very hard to see out when facing the sun. With the sand blasting on the roads this week, it is not helping.

When I had the company truck repaired, the guy said there was nothing to do about pitting. POS or somebody posted a link to some snake oil that was supposed to fix the windshield, but it was almost as much as a new windshield.

Some drunk at a party the other night told me a new windshield for an NA is only $125.

Was it that potty mouthed by any chance??

I did get some glass polish for the 'lac made very little difference and was a PITA. Looks like it's windshield time for ya Gab.....

Or you could do like Tailchaser has done this year and just buy another car when the windshield gets dirty.

I tried that on a pair of my glasses and was not pleased with the results. When finished, they were like looking through 150 year old hand made glass.

And, No, I am not that old.

I wonder how many of the $14.95+s&h bottles are needed for the entire windshield. Also, I think most of the "as seen in TV" stuffs are snake oil!
