What happened to the clown shoe? Didja get rid of it already? Man, you change cars more frequently than I change socks.

Yes the M coupe is sold. Kim and I were riding 4 wheelers on vacation a few months ago and she hit a tree head on and couldn't walk for 2 months. They couldn't do an MRI on her knee for a few weeks after the accident and we didn't expect such a quick recovery so we decided to put the shoe up for sale. I actually just flew to LA last week and picked up a 540i M-Technic which will be her new daily driver, and we're going to buy a dedicated car to race next year. Here's the new new BMW:

How are you liking the RX8?

Ouch! Sorry to hear about Kim. Hope her recovery continues to go well. Congrats on the 540 - I've always had a soft spot for E39s.

The RX-8 is a blast. It's a great jack of all trades - it'll carve up back roads like a dedicated sports car, it'll cover distance in comfort like a world class GT car, it's a very capable autocrosser, and it's also a very competent all weather daily driver. The only two downsides are the fuel mileage (which isn't a big deal to me, since my daily commute is about 12 miles round trip), and the fact that it's hard to put the top down.

Great choice for a daily driver, but I'm sad to see the M-shoe go!

Have you considered looking for a '93 MR-2 for E-stock or is it the ragtop that is attracting you to the Miata?

Probably more the fact that there are only like 12 '93+ hardtop, NA, ABS MR2s in existence.
