Thread: New Cowboys Stadium

    Default New Cowboys Stadium

I like it, although I wasn't expecting to. Having grown up in the Mid Cities, it's hard to imagine quite such a modern, impressive structure sprouting in that part of Arlington, but I look forward to its completion.

Interesting... a movable field. Just drag it out and POOF, you have another surface under it for some other venue.

They did the same thing in Phoenix. There is a good episode of Extreme Engineering on it.

I moved out of Arlington...that was one of the reasons. Besides that, where will Captain Picard sit?

Yeah, I saw that episode... that's why I just glanced at the pic and noticed the tracks.

Do we really need that much engineering and technology in a football stadium?

It's easy to put all that engineering in when Jerry's not footing all the bill.

What an utter waste of tax payer money. If the Cowboys orginization feels it needs a new stadium, it ought to buy one on its own. Arlington city leaders are total idiots IMHO.

You are correct, well said! I've met Mayor Cluck and he's no Jack Kennedy. (But he probably now has a sweet suite at the new Cowboy mothership compliments of Jerry)

I think Texas Stadium was due for replacement and one could argue who should pay the bill (Jerry makes a profit, but the city supposedly makes taxes from it...), but do we really need to join the 'I've got a bigger johnson' club of which city has the best stadium?

Besides, Jerry already got rid of his Johnson several years ago.

Do we really need another stadium? Most sports are way over hyped in this country any way.

Hey I got an idea, lets knock down a few libraries and museums to make room for more parking lots for the stadium.

I like the parking lots and since it is in my town and I'm paying for it, I'm sure Jerry will let us use them
