    Default MSR pictures. 56K warning

Alright here are some of my pics from today. The fiat was David Frinkfrok (SP) the weather mans son. I was standing by him thinking "Wow that looks like the weather guy, I wonder if he gets that alot" when someone came up and said "Mr. Frinfrok?" He seemed like a nice guy. Any way I took almost 200 pictures and I liked these. It was fun to play around with the different camera settings.

    Nice pics!

I parked behind your car when I got there around 12:30pm, but I never saw you. I ran into General Default and we talked cars and stuck around to watch the Spec Miata race, which ended about 3pm. I counted 27 Spec Miatas, and they had a very entertaining race. Kudos to the driver of the yellow SM with the black stripes (I think it was Keith Verges?), as he made a number of great passes to move up the field and finish 2nd (I think, hard to keep track of them all out there).

Makes me want to buy a Spec Miata - those guys were having way too much fun out there today!

I've got those... but I need to figure out where to post them. I don't have a photo hosting site.

There were some great offroad excursions today

#1 liked the outside track too much on Little Bend

#21 and #7 need to learn to play nicer... actually #21 got loose on the corner and was inside #7. It appeared from our view that #7 paniced and jerked the wheel.

#21 got a nice battle scar from it.

#72 just had a bad day. Three times off roading... Thought he was gonna get stuck the 3rd time off roading coming out of Ricochet onto the back straight.

Waaaay back off the far side of the track #58 got into a scrape with someone else and lost a wheel. It was interesting standing by the folks running the show and hearing them talk to the spotters. They weren't sure what happened with the wheel. Turns out the alloy rim sheared off all the spokes and the outer part of the rim with the tire went flying off somewhere. They had to get the flatbed out and tow it back.

You can still see the hub of the rim attached to the wheel studs.

It was a lot of fun. Too bad more of ya couldn't make it out to see it.

I also took a lot of pictures of the cars coming in off the track just to get better ideas of how I want to paint, stripe, and letter the car.

I'm going to have my side biz splattered on the car in big letters... well, as big as you can fit "Arcadecomponents.com" on there. That's a lot of letters!

I finally made it about 4PM and was surprised that it was all over! It was not a good day for dirt surfing........ Deja vu! The green Datsun is the car I rented for my very first race school at TWS back in 1995. No power, but great handling, and a great way to start out.

That car was BRAND NEW LOOKING. Cleanest SM I have ever seen. Looked like it just came out of th e paint shop, and even the window net was the same color. Sad to see it get wrecked.

..and the Audi was only running 12psi on a 1.8T. ME and my buddy talked to him for about 10min before the race in his garage.
