Default Official Ted the Red Intro

    Howdy all,

My name is Michael... I just purchased a red 1990 Miata with a hard top. I feel that I got a pretty good deal on it. The car has 113K miles on it and I paid just about 1,000 for it. The car had been wrecked on the front passange side and the fender, hood, headlight door, and radiator had been replaced already. The body panels are just primered grey but the car has a bunch of scratches from the hard top being removed so I will need to get it painted anyway but it runs and drives well and I have been going through withdrawl. This is my second Miata, the first a red 94 with black top was totaled about 4yrs ago. I still have some of the parts from the 94 laying around so I hope to have this one fixed up soon. I will post some pics of both the 94 and the 90.

Here is the 94 when I first got it, doesn't it look pretty?

Good to meat you! I'm new here too, but there are a ton of really savvy people. I honestly learn something new every day on this board.

Post a picture or two of your new ride too!

Welcome to the fun! Make sure you include a note to Madmonkey about his expired inspection in a future post. It's all the rage!

I live on the far west side of Ft Worth near Benbrook so Plano is a good ways away but I will see if I can make it out at least once or twice.

I grew up at Sycamore School rd and Hulen, so I am in the area every once in a while and you might manage to get the West siders to start thier own GTG

We're too old to be out having fun on a week night.

I guess it's getting time for a group dinner, again. How about we hit the Early Bird somewhere?

Assuming he meant "grew up" - I think it's safe to say he's using that term VERY loosely...
