Thread: Corvette Plant Tour!

    Default Corvette Plant Tour!

So we went to the 1:15pm plant tour today and the line was down due to technical issues. So we still got the tour and got to see a bunch of UAW folks playing cards and a ton of corvettes in various stages of manufacture....

But the XLR line was running, Cadillacs Rule! (They are built separate from the Vette)

All and all it was a fun deal!

Note the Bozo in the pictures below ignoring the wishes of GM, I parked up in the front row!

Actually I didn't notice the sign until we were leaving. I did notice my vehicle was the only one in the lot that wasn't a GM product, darn glad they didn't tow it away!

No disrespect intended to the fine folks at GM. My Grandfather was a Tool and Die Engineer for GM his entire working career.

Hey POS, Wish I had know you were coming to the BG state. Heck, I was looking for an excuse to drive the Corvette to Bowling Green...we could have had lunch...your nickle...
Anytime you guys are heading this way, let me know.

You're lucky your car wasn't vandalized. When I was interviewing for a Co-op job at a GM plant, they told me to park as far away from the building as possible because I had a foreign car.

I was thinking the same thing. I grew up in the Steel/Rust Belt and they don't take kindly to non-American vehicles. You also don't see near as many foreign vehicles.

I promise next time I'll look you up, this trip came up pretty quick.

Did they have motorized carriages when you were a lad?
