    That is cool... Kassabian Motors is about 10 miles from where I grew up. I spent a lot of time there looking at cars with my Dad when I was a kid.

    As the article says, the seller is just testing the market. Kassabian always has several like this, where the price is way up there, and the seller isn't really looking to sell. Sometimes they find a whale and make a big profit, but usually it just sits there. It is good for everyone... the seller gets to free up some garage space for 6 months and MAY make a huge profit if it sells. Kassabian doesn't mind giving up the floor space as it generates traffic. Some guy will be in there this week to look at KITT, and then he will spot the '67 Camaro like he drove in high school for $22k. The salesman will quickly point out that they can finance every car in the building, and that he could take the Camaro home with him for zero down and $400 a month. I bet KITT helps them sell a dozen less expensive cars over the next few months.

    You can buy "recreates" on ebay for less than 1/3 the cost of that one.
