Default FMII Rebuild - anyone wanna help?

    Hello Folks,

I am going to be doing a semi-major overhaul on the front end of my 93 FMII. I need to change out the water pump so that means.....

    Removing the nose
Removing the intercooler (the pipes need to be re-powdercoated anyway)
    Removing the A/C Heat exchanger
    Removing the radiator
    Removing the belts
    Removing the timing belt
    Replacing the Water Cooler
    Cursing releatedly

Waiting to get the pipes back from the Powdercoater

    Re-installing everything
Burning up a set of old tires

Anybody want some free beer. I could use a little help, especially from somebody that has done the timing belt. We might even cut the hood and make an extractor hood.

    WHOA now...

I've done 2 timing belt/water pump jobs and have never had to remove the nose, radiator, or AC parts... just move the compressor out of the way.

It's easier if you get under the car and remove the 4 bolts on the sway bar mounts so you can push the sway bar down to get to the crank bolt and have room for a pulley puller if needed.

All the Intercooler piping needs to go into the shop, so I figured it might be easier and less blood letting to take the whole nose off. I'm open to other suggestions too. The front end is pretty congested with the intercooler piping in there.

Hmmm... if the front of the engine is clear it's not too hard of a job to do... you may need to remove the piping, but shouldn't have to pull the whole nose out.

I agree with Channel it's not worth pulling the nose off it's a ton of work! Heck a group of us pulled a motor last weekend and left the nose on! Read all about it!

Does the A/C work? If you pull the condenser or as you call it the A/C Heat exchanger. Your A/C will go away as soon as you pull the lines!

The rest of it is realtively easy! What day are you planning on doing all this?
