Huh... Here's some trivia for you. I was looking at the list Rogue posted and noticed a name that caught my name so I thought I'd google it.

Kiss Me Kate is owned by Tom Cruise and evidently named after Katie Holmes. I wonder if it's going to get a new name.

Third Post. Can you tell the p51 is my favorite airplane?

    Anyways...

I was looking at the pics of all the Mustangs that will be in attendance and came across some travesties!

    Sparky

    and Strega

Advertising on a piece of history is just wrong. Since so few p51s are still in existence, I think they should be as authentic as possible.

To a lesser extent VooDoo is just wrong.

    ...and across the line.

I saw Strega at Grayson County Airport several years ago, around 1990 I think, during the Unlimited Air Races. The only other name I recall right now is Rare Bear, an F8F Bearcat. I still have the program, but chances of finding it are remote.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Would this be why I saw a B-26 fly over Plano a few weeks ago?

My Mother has a cousin that has a bear cat. The Bearcat holds the record for fastest rate of climb for a reciprocating engined aircraft. He took two airframes and made one air worthy aircraft out of the two. Last I checked there were only 6 air worty planes left. That was because the government tried to destroy them after they had them decommisioned.

This cousin of hers also has a T-1 that there were only 26 made. Forgot the name of it, but it was a trainer designed to simulate a turbine engined aircraft using a piston engine. They angled the engine downward to have it have what would seem to be a turbine lag when the throtle was increased.

    There are no B-26's flying.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-26_Marauder

That must have been Lone Star's B-25 "Special Delivery" now painted up as "Doolittle Raiders"
There is also a B-25 "How 'Boot That" in the museum at Addison, but it is not airworthy anymore.

    You bet Chris!

How 'Boot That, flew 80 combat missions over Italy.
I watched the nose art painted by the same man on the same plane 51 years later with the same tins of paint.

    Incredible!
