Thread: new shop in Irving

  1. #1

    Default new shop in Irving

just had loads of stuff done on my car...clutch, timing belt, water pump, etc.

got a quote...did all the work and fixed a load of other stuff that he found after getting into it and didn't charge me any extra. he is a certified mechanic at a dealer doing moonlighting.

recommend him highly should you need some work.

had a really sweet looking cage he was welding into a SPEC car.

I don't think that he is. This is aceracergofast's shop, the one that had the open house / tech day about a month ago. He has some pics of the work on his spec car posted in the open track section I believe. My Dad and I have been out to his shop a few times and are impressed with his knowledge and the work we have seen on the spec car. My Dad has gotten a few quotes, and items from him and his prices seem to be very fair.

So... think he'd fix my reverse light switch really, really cheap?

Do you work on Integra's too? I need some stuff done before I sell it.

Damn! So much for getting exclusivity!!! He's done 99% of the work on my Miata and 100% on the Y2K Bug. Always better than expected.
Wealth, power, and experience are apparently not enough to save us from social influences. Groupthink, as described by I.L.Janis, is the tendency for group members to reach a consensus opinion, even if that decision is downright stupid (Janis 1982).

As Ted the Red states above, "I have been out to his shop a few times and are impressed with his knowledge and the work we have seen on the spec car."

He appears to be very knowledgeable and concerned for doing the job right, not doing the customer. OMHO
