Finally got to go...what a hoot! 11 miles, 318 turns, mostly banked very well, and a blast to drive! Photos from Killboy.com and Moonshinephoto.com of the red Miata with the old guy and his gorgeous spouse aboard both 10-10 and 10-11. Neal Bellamy met up with me there on the eleventh, driving his 06 Civic...fun stuff! This road was designed with Miatas in mind...long before Miata came into existance...![]()

Lightness? What's that? I drive a PRHT!
Actually, I took my spouse since we had not been to the Smoky's for 12 years or so, (since before moving to Texas in 95) and we stayed at a Ramada in Pigeon Forge...What a change THAT place has seen over the years!
Anytime anyone wants to head that way, just let me know and I will definitely meet you there. There are guys from Central KY who go down there once per month on average, weather permitting, during the autox off-season. I may go back in a couple of weeks...![]()

I was up in OzCop's backyard this weekend at the Natural Bridge National Park. The roads in the mountains east of Lexington are no slouch.

Heck, they aren't too bad south of Lexington either... Just getting to my house (which is so far out in the sticks, I call it two miles from Deliverance) is an exercise in Miata enjoyment. Not so much in my truck, or the spouse's Pilot, but a blast in the Miata...![]()
