I would think you would get better information by perusing SCCA National Tour results then listening to any of these clowns.
So not including Mazdas, what do you guys think are decent cars for Autocross?
Just curious on what the resident cone smackers think.

I hear these are great!
(not that I'm biased or anything)

The Civic Si is supposed to be pretty good for GS once the Mini S leaves. There is also talk of the Honda Fit in HS. I think the C5 Z06 is a great choice, or even a C6 Z51.
I do, but Hal has me worried about who I can trust.
Regardless... IMHO, it doesn't take an expert to look at the national results and know what the current decent cars for Autocross that are not Mazda are.... The list probably starts with the Solstice and Mini Cooper S, but I have not looked at the results enough to know for sure.
I heard Black Roadsters going to Hallet in a Caravan!

Mini Coopers sure are fun cars to drive.

Well I have made 4 trips to the local P-back dealers around me and I just don't like the Solstice. I can't put my finger on the exact reason but I just don't like that car.
The C6 has won a spot in my heart, but it has a few drawbacks the first two are the cost for R compound tires, the second is the cost of the car.
The Elise is also intriguing, but it seems like such a delicate flower , I can see myself tearing up some of it's more costly bits.

So are BOTH of the Nbs going up forsale?
How about a car with a factory turbo charger!

I know you said not Mazdas, but a CSP NC sounds like it would be a blast.

On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I'm a BMW fan and I've always wanted to drive a fully prepped DSP E36:

Minus being camber challenged, I also think a D-stock 330 ZHP would be a cool car. Maybe even a STX E36 328i.
The STi is a really fun car to drive and it looks like STU is a very fun competitive class to run in.
One more, those STS civics are probably a blast to drive, but I'm not a big fan of FWD.

The '81 Celica convertible is a real sleeper in FSP!
Lotus Europa in ASP.
Lotus Seven in D-Mod.
I can't think of anything else better than a Mazda Miata for autocross.
