Mmmmm... I love me some JGTC goodness.
Thought it was interesting - surfing through the GT500 team listings, it appears that the 350Z entries are modified VQ30DETT engines - which is the engine out of the old twin-turbo 300ZX from the early '90s.
I can understand why they aren't using normally aspirated VQ35 variants (like the ones in the stock 350Z), but I wonder why they're using the more complicated and fragile VQ30DETT V6 over the all-conquering and bulletproof RB26DETT inline sixes from the Skylines? Anyone know? Packaging constraints, perhaps?
