Default PCA Autocross #2, 4/6/08, Pennington Motor Speedway

The Maverick Region of the Porsche Club of America is having their second autocross of the season. It will be at Pennington Field, in Bedford.

    Who wants to join me?

    More info at http://mav.pca.org/Events/AX.asp.

You can pre-reg (and I think you save $5) for register on site.

Be sure to look for the "optical illusion" at turn 5, I hear the surprise this week is a white tiger jumping out in the middle of the slalom.

I might show up since it's close. If I can get my head screwed on straight, I might even race. Who knows

If not I'll be making the next ER event anyway.

I will be there, and I believe that Lee is off that day as well.
I learned this the hard way.....

Take all of your valuables out of your car at night. This includes taking the mounting hardware off of your windshield or dash and hiding the power supplies. I lost over $ 1,000 to a thief with no hope of recovering my items and to top if off they smashed my window in the rain and my truck got soaked. Let my loss be your learning experience.

Looks like we are meeting at Einstein's on the southeast corner of 183 and Central Dr. at 7 AM.

Perhaps Madmonkey can show up, watch us eat breakfast for a little while, and leave.

He can probably also draw the chalk lines for you so you don't get lost in the surprise elements too

I wonder what the MPG would be for the 'Lac while autocrossing. Better yet, how much gas and how many sets of brake pads (er shoes?) would you need to get through and Evo school day in the 'Lac!

Try to get some sleep or something so you're not so bitchy this time.

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be happy to see me considering I bailed out on 2+ hours of corner working in the afternoon Plus the Elise is in the shop till Monday/Tuesday and I'm not really sure if I want to re-visit the TES Miata world.

What 'class' do stock Miata's run in? Their classification 'worksheet' leaves a lot to be desired.

I just chose Stock and E, since I run in ES at SCCA. They mentioned that they are trying to do their classes around SCCA classing rules now. They can always fix it at the site.

Looks like a few of us weren't sure what to pick.

The TES Miata world is a great place to be. You can haul a trailer, pop your clutch, and our batteries stay put. Just use an assumed name and they'll never realize that you are in fact the Elise Bail-Out Bandit.

Shhh. I was trying to lure him in so we can rat him out right before lunch. That will give us something to watch while we eat.

I'll probably show up regardless, but I doubt I'll run... I'm waiting for the ER event on the 20th. I have a couple of other n00bs that want to play

OKAY, OKAY, somebody walk me around the course in the morning and explain to me what I'm looking at, and I'll try to make the next non-ER & SCCA event.
