    Default Silverstone Hardtop

A '91 Silverstone HT on the 'Bay and in OKC.

Wasn't someone looking for 3L hardtop?

Hmmm... if it is indeed an OEM top I'd be in - I wouldn't mind the upgrade. Black/Silver would look pretty good, eh? Thanks for the heads-up, man!

It was purchased new with as a car option in 91. My wife was the original owner. The top was used minimally and stored covered most of it's life.

Out of curiosity... what are the two black brackets on the inside of the top at the bottom of this picture (opposite and just inside of the chrome F-bolt latches). My Snug didn't have those.

BTW... that's big money for that top!

They sit on top of the soft top latches. I believe the point is to prevent the softtop from bouncing up and breaking out the HT window if you hit a bump too fast.

Ah... makes sense, I guess. But, holy shit, you'd have to hit one hell of bump!

If they were not there, and you had left the softtop latches open, a bounce would have the sharp part of the latch hitting the window. I could see it cracking the glass under the right circumstances.

OK, I ended up with the FIRST one Rogue posted from eBay. I told myself I'd wait till fall, but wtf... it seemed like a good deal I couldn't refuse. Picked it up Sunday, and it's in VERY nice shape outside of a couple of paint chips on the driver's side. Wags spotted me on the road today and gave it a thumbs-up (even in Raiders' silver 'n' black)!

BTW, I'm NOT selling it on CL - mine's a keeper (although, if somebody had the urge to give me $1200 for this one, I could be persuaded to part with it ).
