    Default Roadside Assistance MME Style

I wanted to thank eveyone from the board that helpped me out today at the MW AX.

    The Story:
After my final run today at the SCCA autocross POS Racing noticed that there was fluid leaking from my car. A few of us looked it over and thought it might just have overfilled the overflow and been one of those freak things. Well it turns out it was more than that..... After letting the car cool during the 2nd and 3rd heats I left headed back to town. I made it about 5 miles before I started to smell coolant and notice the temp needle rising above halfway. I pulled right over and started to check it out. As I was just getting the hood open along came Mark G (sorry did not know your screen name). We looked at the car and found that the problem was the wp/alt belt had broken. Being the kind hearted man he is he offered to take me to the parts store. We found an Autozone, bought the belt, and headed back to replace it. Mark made sure I had all the tools and water I needed and headed on his way. Not 5 minutes later I am getting started tearing things apart when a flock of MME members showed up. They all; cone-cerned, Darron65, POS Racing ,Mark52, onething ,and Lorin (sorry did not know your screen name), helped to get the belt changed and get me back on the road.

I am so greatful and do not know what I would have done without their help.

    Thank you so very much.

Careful, they're like the Mafia. Now you owe them a favor.

    Good story, though.

If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Not to highjack your thread but I agree that everybody I have met in the Miata fraternity have been great guys! I broke down on the way to my first autocross today and while I did make it home in the car I couldn't run it in the event. Everybody took pity on me and cone-cerned even let me ride along for his first 3 runs. Thanks to everybody!
