Thread: I need a suggestion (neighbors)

Default I need a suggestion (neighbors)

I have some folks that live behind me that have some out of control kids, I have seen them being destructive to other folks property as well as their own.
they haven't really ever done anything to my property other than trying to get into my shed once.
Last night driving home from the party I drove over a carpet board with nails in it, in my driveway.
friday I picked up a kitchen knife out of my driveway and almost everyday it's something metal and sharp, to the point I am starting to feel this is on purpose.
Not to mention the non sharp objects liike dirty diapers, shoes, cans concrete blocks, table legs, pipes....you name it
I keep reporting this to the manager of the property and she calls them and they tell her a dog is bringing this stuff up....which is a lie.
Anyway last night I had to stop myself from going off and doing something stupid.
If I could communicate with them I would go over and try to talk to them but they don't speak english.
they are violent too as they have beaten each other at times, and are pretty consistantly arguing and cursing each other.
I am at my witts end and get a case of the red ass everytime I have to walk my driveway to pick up whatever is in it.

Anyone have a suggestion on how I might deal with these people?

You should embrace cultural diversity! Or some such liberal doublespeak used to excuse crap like this.

As long as they pay the rent, the landlord won't do anything. I'd look into aiming a security cam or two in their direction and see if it might be possible to tape the vandalism, then take it up with the sheriff's department.

Cabela's has some great motion activated still cameras with a flash that you can mount high up and then it will just take a pic then something crosses the sensor.

Yikes, Didn't realize they start at $100 and go up from there

Don't go flying off the handle, try to presue this in a legal and civilized manner. Like Cam said, get proof and let the authorities handle it from there.

Till then, use caution upon entering your driveway, as tires can get pretty costly.

Just saw a security camera with color and night vision at Home Depot, $49! It has coax to connect to a monitor, wonder if there's a way to hook up a cheap VCR or camcorder setup?

Yep that's what i am going to do, but using the PC to store the data.
I have been considering buying a couple cameras for when we are gone anyhow.
I have been looking today at some that are triggered by motion but no flash with infrared.
    Thanks for the help guys.

Post-birth abortion is always an option, albeit a non-friendly one. Tell their parents they'll have to reimburse you for all the damages.

Just tell them in english. Speak slowly and louder than usual. That seems to work for the elderly.

Speaking from my own experience, it's kinda hard to move the land, just to accomadate the riff-raff element, especially when you've got a personal investment in it. Sometimes you're forced to make a stand.
