Welcome! Got any pics of the car? Look forward to meeting you at an autox.
Hi I'm curently living in the Cen. IL area and looking to move my son and I to your area. I have been auto-crossing on and off since 92 and my son started in 2003 when he was 8yrs. We have run with the Las Vegas Region and the Central Illinois Region. I have a 92 CSP Miata with 99 and newer drive train. GC coilovers,Koni's,RB sways and end links. It now has a junk yard Escort low compression motor that I got for $20. My son drives a 95 Invader with a World Formula motor. The cool thing is CSP and FJA have almost the same PAX times. So if he (God forbids) beats me I never hear the end of it. We have a great time and look forward to running with you all. Oh by the way any one with kids looking for a formula junior ride we love to share.

Be sure to check out the Calendar for Autocross events.
There are at least five local clubs that host autocross events. A great resource is www.autocross.com (webmaster is one of our own). Look through the club list for Texas and the surrounding states for their websites.
Also check out www.autocrosspictures.net to see photos from the local competition.

Welcome! Mark52 will be glad to see another regular CSP'er. Hope to see you at an event once the season starts.
Nice pictures welcome aboard.
Looking forward to seeing you at events. We have two CSP drivers here -- one in an NA and one in an NC. I am moving from ES to STS this season.
Welcome to the forum. If you go to all the autocrosses around here, you will need at least two sets of tires.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Welcome to the forum! We have a pretty active group of autocrossers here on the board, including a couple of local CSP drivers. Texas Region also has one of the most active Formula Junior programs that I'm aware of, so your son should find plenty of competition.
Funny random coincidence - I'm going to be in Illinois most of next week (East Peoria, to be exact).

Thank you SAMMM, aalvarez04, jrj512 and cone-cerned. I look forward to running with a new group and making new friends. The more events the better. We were doing 25 to 30 events a year in Cen IL area. I have also run a FStock car but I sold the race stuff off of it to sell the car. I'm now looking for work and a place to live. I'm thinking about the Denton area. How is Denton?
If you are coming to Cen. IL you better dress warm. It's going to be a whopping 7 degrees tomorrow. Thanks for the welcome. When are you coming. There is a auto-cross event just south of Indy on Feb. 22 if you are in the area at the time. http://www.cscc-scca.org/
Darron65 thanks for the welcome nice avatar
I like Denton. It's a college town, has a strong arts community and the local radio station plays mostly jazz. It is far enough from the metroplex to have it's own identity yet it's close enough you can run in for a show or whatever. My employer is here so I've got a very short commute. I love to drive but I hate commuting, BTDT.
Don't know your age or marital status. I probably would've hated the place when I was 20.
Welcome. Like most metropolitan areas, traffic will be a problem so most people live as close to their jobs as possible. You might want to land a job before picking the area to live. If you are a college professor, Denton would be great.

RED RULES!
90 Miata, 04 Rubicon, 05 Boxster
Welcome!
Per your profile, it sounds like you drive a truck for a living. User Creek drives a truck and might be able to give a good idea of what areas in the Metroplex have more short hall job opportunities.
