Default Anybody here do Wheel Alignments?

I got new shocks, new brakes and new tie rods on the car now. Time to put it on the alignment machine. Anybody here do wheel alignments. I am itching to get my car back on the road again.

Don't worry about the broken Miata, heck, I have two Miata's and have not driven on in almost 6 months.
Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

Does he work Saturdays? My work schedule as of today doesn't allow me to take off during the week.

Who did your alignment and where?

Did they let you sit in the car and use your alignment specs?

    How much did it cost?

    TIA

Brandon did mine today, he works at the NTB grapevine mills parkway, he said Wednesdays are the only day he is normally not working. He used my specs, and let me sit in the car and is overall a good guy and recommended by AJ (BAM!). It was free under my 3 year alignment but I did tip him.

Brandon did mine and Ken's while AJ was between locations.

IIRC, AJ(BAM!) told me that he was taught by Brandon.

+1 on Brandon. Great job, and I heard the same as far as him being AJ's mentor.

AJ did it at Grapevine Mills. He said something about usually working in management so he may not normally be doing this. Brandon was not working that day because he was out of town. He also did the V8 Miata after mine. I sat in the car while he aligned it and I let him determine the specs because the springs and bushings were a little bit worn. Cost was $120. The car feels a lot better now.

You can do a quick DIY alignment for toe-in. With normal weight on the front wheels (such as, have the front end up on ramps), measure the track between the tires in front of the A-arms and a similar point behind the A-arms. The measurement ahead of the A-arms should be about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch narrower than the measurement behind the A-arms. This will get you to the alignment shop without scrubbing off the outside edges of the front tires.
