Thread: hey there!

    Post hey there!

My name is Brandon. Here's a bit about me since I haven't introduced myself yet.

I am a 19 year old musician(guitar&bass) and I live in Haslet, near Justin and the Speedway.

I have recently taken an EXTREME interest in cars. (especially miatas)

I will most likely be at all of the SCCA events this year and any NTAXS events I can make it to. (even if it is just to watch & ride with other people)

I want to learn to work on cars(as much as I can)(If anyone wants to help me learn that would be great)(I've only worked on dirtbikes and done basic car maintenance)

I want to go to an advanced driving school.(If anyone wants to teach me tips n tricks, that would be awesome)

I want to buy a 99 miata within the next year.

I want to make friends with others that enjoy driving :)

If you wanna know anything else, feel free to ask!

Good to meet you. Sorry if I was a bit preoccupied, but I thought you'd hang around a bit longer.

    Welcome to the forums.

    Sorry I missed you yesterday.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Slow down, Branon! You're nineteen. There's plenty of time. One must learn to walk before learning to run...... You start as a novice, then move up the ladder.

That said, we'll be racing at TMS May 1-3 and you're certainly welcome to come and be part of our pit crew. Road racing is a bit different that autocrossing, and it would be a good learning experience. If interested, let me know and I will give you all the info.

I like the look of it best, I'll probably end up getting what's available. I don't like the look of the new ones but I want something less than 12 years old. Also the price, I should be able to get a good stock 99 for less than 6k

I'll be at the TMS race saturday, so let me know if you'll be there too. I'm gonna hang around longer for this one. I'll be getting there at about 11:20 for this one though because I have a college class that morning.
