Thread: Hidden Miata Receiver Hitch

    Default Hidden Miata Receiver Hitch

I remember someone at the Flush This GTG telling me that everyone is getting these from a place in OK for $160, receiver and tow bar. Does anyone have the contact/web address for the source?

I think you're talking about the DaLan hidden hitch. I don't know a source, but I'm sure Google or someone on the forum does!

Apparently it's been a while and freight has gone up...

    They're not $160 anymore...

    Maybe OKMiata in Tulsa?

No, the guy who makes TireTails is based on Oklahoma, and sells Delan hitches as well.

Yeah, I got excited when Tailchaser mentioned to me that they were $160. Tire Tail has 'em for $212 + shipping. I've been looking hard but haven't found them for less. If any of you have luck locating one for less (or used), I'd appreciate a heads up.

In the meantime I found a pretty good drawing in some online installation instructions and I'm going to crawl under the car tomorrow and measure. Maybe I'll give making one a shot.

One option is to keep an eye on eBay... they show up there from time to time... although I didn't see one there tonight.
