Default Velocity Adventures - Harris Hill Road, Saturday, May 8

    FYI -

Sondra S. from the Cen-Tex S2k group has formed a new business - Velocity Adventures - to run track days down at Harris Hill Road just south of Austin. Registration is open for their first event, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 8th. Cost is $165 for the day, which is quite a bargain for such a great track.

Sadly - well, not so sadly - I won't be able to make this event, since we're expecting the birth of our first child two weeks before. Still, I encourage you to sign up for the event! Sondra always puts on a great event at H2R with lots of track time, dedicated instructors, good trackside food, etc.

See you at the track (well, maybe for the next one )!!

How much seat time? Last time down there it was 80 minutes. Too far to drive for that.

At the last event it was five twenty minute sessions per run group, so probably 100 minutes total track time. Quality over quantity... not that $1.65 per minute of track time is a shabby price.

Make a weekend of it! I know I always have fun in Austin.

Five 25's would be better. I'll think about it. 420 commute minutes for 100 track minutes.

    Edit:

Just checked my email and Sondra said:

"We usually get in (4) 22-24 minute sessions. "

That roll bar requirement is an H2R thing, that Velocity can't override... right?

i don't think you'd be happy if they paid you to come drive the track.

I honestly don't know. There is a contact link on the page I linked to in my first post. Your best bet would be to contact Sondra and ask her directly.
