Default Mandrel bent piping exhaust shops

I am looking for an exhaust shop that does mandrel bent piping in the DFW area. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I've been to Kinney's but like others have said, they are pricey. I want something a little more wallet-friendly.

The only cheap way I've ever found is to buy pre-bent mandrels and then take somewhere to cut and weld together. All the shops that I've found that have a mandrel bender in house are VERY proud of that and charge accordingly.

artechfabrication.com Lots of us use him. He uses mandrel bent pipes and will build you an exhaust.

Here's an example of an intake he built for me

I just replaced my header and I want to get a test pipe and then a piece of straight pipe with a resonator out to the back.

    So new idea for exhaust.

    - Resonated test pipe
    - Magnaflow muffler in place of stock muffler (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=9260)
    - Mandrel bent piping from test pipe to muffer, and out muffler

    Shouldn't be too loud, right?

I had a magnaflow muffler 14" I think on my car with a cat no res and still too damn loud out at lone star park last event so I went back to stock muffler....I'm thinking about trying the magnaflow with a 22" resonator and see if that will get some of the sound down

Have you checked out Enthuzacar.com? They have some nice systems for very reasonable prices. Also why do you want a test pipe? Not only will it sound like crap, but you are going to loose some low end torque. Honestly with a good high flow converter you will not loose much power over a test pipe.

That's basically jeff_man's setup that artech built. Sound level is great. No problem passing dB at HHR.

I went through the same thing you're going through last year after installing a header.

Ended up with a Roadster Sport 3 for the exhaust and a 2.25 inch spun cat like this one (but not this exact one). The exhaust sounds good, doesn't rasp, and has a couple of tunable noise corks you can stick in the tail pipe (I've only run mine uncorked but have both of the inserts). It's pretty pricey, but it's a known quantity, it's light, and comes ready to bolt on.

Unless you're running a turbo setup, 2.25" is fine. Enthuzicar also has a test pipe for the 1.6, and I'd imagine they make them in the same jig.
