There are 4 or 5 hotels out in MW, just check Expedia or one of those sites.

One week left. For the 180 mile round trip I will spend about $50 in gas. I don't know if I can justify a hotel room to save 3 hours of drive time.

Hmmm... Cheapest hotel is around $75. Tent site at Mineral Wells SP is $12.

$75 to save 3 hours driving, uh... no. $12 for 3 hours... maybe.

You can sleep in paddock for free. A number of people do it every year.

Yep, tent/car camping at the site is actually kinda fun. Especially if you can sneak in a kart w/ lights
