My lappy took a dump. HP compaq nc6220 won't turn on. A few days ago, I tried to turn it on, and no startup. No screen activity. The main power LED is solid on and the front led panel is giving a pattern. I hear this can mean something. There is no activity inside the case that I can hear (HD, fan, etc). Now all the buttons are non responsive. If I remove the battery, the light pattern returns.
LED pattern is:
Wireless: off
power: solid green
battery/charging: alternating green / yellow
hard drive: off

We had a batch of laptops at work with motherboards that would go bad. Hardly worth repairing at that point.
Thanks for the help, guys. I think I am going to see if a local computer shop is willing to give me free diagnostics, otherwise it is time to.get a cheap netbook that outperforms the old lappy
