Thread: Getting a baseline Dyno on my 2000 BPR Turbo car tomorrow

Default Getting a baseline Dyno on my 2000 BPR Turbo car tomorrow

I called ATS and I am gonna go after work Friday and get a baseline run with my stock exhaust. Trackdog kindly loaned me the 2.5" Goodwin Midpipe to run a compairison test on, so I figure I'll do that on Monday... It is gonna be sad to have to take that piece back out, it is all stainless and shiny, like miata porn.....

I am doing both runs with the powercard and so we will see what the exhaust only does and it will give me a baseline power to work with when I start playing with the emanage...

The BRG has gotten all of my attention for the last month, now it is time to focus on the Red car....

Well here is my dyno plot with the stock exhaust, it is the red one. I three dyno's on here:

    One is stock -
    One is with the JRSC
One is with the BRP turbo.

I was a little dissappointed that the HP number wasnt higher, becuase the car feels much stronger. It took me a second to realize how much the torque has come up with the turbo....

The Midpipe goes on tonight or tomorrow and we'll get one more pull, it is supposed to add 20hp...

Let me know if you go at the same time Monday. I'll be there again to watch. I was surprised it wasn't a bit higher too.

Hey, that's my neck of the woods. If you go back on Monday before 5pm, let me know - I'd like to watch.

Well after driving to Denton in rush hour, I decided to find a dyno a little closer to home and save myself and hour or so for the next pull. So I wont be going out to ATS today. I will post my results later tonight though.

You won't really be able to tell the effect of the mid-pipe if you don't use the same dyno.

I am waiting on the email with the actual dyno, and I will post. Not too shabby for just a midpipe.....

Is this the same dyno as before? If not, you'll want to retest without the midpipe in place on this dyno.

    Chris,

I agree, you should try to stay with the same dyno. Perhaps you can put the stock pipe back on and redo the run at that other dyno location. Did you go to Speedworks in Lewisville?

No it was a place named Velocity Performance in Addison. These results are consistent with the other BRP Turbo that upgraded his midpipe. That and I have already pulled the Powercard and installed the greddy emanage. They were both dynojets.
