Raspy exhaust

I have a raceland header enthuza xr exhaust on my 91 and it sounded great with the cat in but I just beat the crap out of it and now I've got a raspy ass noise around 3k how can I fix this!!!!!!!

Shove all the crumbly metal back in the cat, plug the ends with steel wool so it doesn't blow out.
