Agree with Rick on both points. If you are interested in a cool, unique car that is also vintage, paying forone that is done and sorted makes great sense, especially if you are interested in enjoying the driving rather than the build. Also agree that $13k is too much, but $10k would be a great value. It would cost that much to build it yourself, without factoring in the value of your time.

The same criticism can be levelled at folks who spend countless time and dollars building a car, then making it a garage queen. I see quite a few built-up cars in Dallas that have never seen a track, or never get driven to their potential. Many would argue that an NA with $10k+ in upgrades that sees one noncompetitive track day/year is silly, but to each their own.
