damn Joe! No wonder you never make it to any AX's anymore. You're too busy downloading and ripping.

I configured my PC to automatically rip, catalog, and eject on the insert of any audio CD. There is always a stack of CDs sitting by the computer and I try to make it a habit to put a new one in every time I walk away from the PC.

Do tell. Can you explain that to me in 1000 words or less?

Well, when you insert an Audio CD into Windows XP, a dialog box pops up and asks what you want to do with it (Explore, play in Media player, etc). One of the options is to launch the IPOD software. I selected this, and then checked the box for always do this without asking. Once in the IPOD software, there was options somewhere for auto rip and eject when complete. Easy as pie.

Be careful with the screen if you buy the Nano... There are complaints that the plastic on the screen is extremely easy to scratch & fog...

Yea I know I dug it up from the archives but I got a couple of question

    1. How do you know when an Ipod Shuffle is fully charged??
    2. About how long will it go on a charge??

    TIA

Not sure when it is fully charged, but the memory is flash memory so battery life should be 8-9hrs+. I just got an ipod mini for my b-day and have been getting 8 hours out of the battery.

While charging, the light should be amber. Once charged, it turns green. There is also a small button on the back that you can push to see the level. Again, green is good.
