The Aluminum hood can be fixed says the PDR guy, but he wants more than my deductible to do it. plus he found other areas of concern as did Service King and another Local body shop.

Darned if I do Darned if I don't....
But I thought you only need to fix what they noticed the first time. Who cares if there are other areas of concern to the body shop. Ofcourse they think there are areas of concern. But what did the leasing company say the first time they looked at it?

Yea I'm with you on that one, but one it becomes an insurance claim these are going to try and milk it for all it's worth.

On a happier note I just returned from Payton-Wright Ford, and they have structured an exit strategy that would work for me and them, may see how that plays out next week.

I thought the lease was up? Granted I know nothing about leases, but I though the exit terms are set when you sign the lease. Why would they need to structure an exit strategy?

An exit strategey were my finacial responsibility is $0.00....

Rather than the $250 disposal fee for the lease vehicle (standard on a Lease), plus the additional $200.00 for the insurance deductable. So $450.00 I can keep!

I am a cheap bastard after all!

Doesn't sound like something they give away without getting something in return... what do they get?

My sis-in-law has an '05 V8 Exploder, and she's pretty happy with it. Not exactly stellar mileage, but what do you expect?

BTW, you can option the V8 to tow over 7000lbs - more than enough to tow a Miata...

Yup... and my '02 did a fabulous job dragging a u-haul trailer full of furniture here from NC. No love lost when I turned mine in, but they make great lease vehicles.
