Will Discount Tire Direct do tire shaving? I want to order a set of 'kooks for S2k events and track days next season, but my research seems to indicate that they do best when shaved to 4-6/32nds initially.

Would have been nice to have had them yesterday for my long journey to Frisco and back!

BTW. you can get these things cheaper than the Discount direct price if you use the TCB method correctly!

    Still like them?
Give me the pros and cons.

Anyone think going from a 195 to a 205 is worth $47? That's the difference in price at edgeracing.

Should I just see if DT will match the lowest online price or order them online and have BAM! install them for me?

I'm still quite fond of them. Don't think 195 to 205 is worth $47. Al Cavan at Coit & 190 has matched anything I've ever taken in.

    Pros:
    Excellent grip under braking
    Smooth/quiet for daily driving
    Good wet grip

    Cons:
A bit heavy compared to the T1-S you're replacing
Can feel squirmy at the track
    The price keeps creeping up
Maybe 4 wheels aren't so bad after all... wickett.org

Yep pretty much everything that Tailchaser said. At the track I thought they worked great.

Run in a torrential downpour they do much better than the old Azenis. The 195's look and work fine on my '99, I wasn't going to spend more $$$$ for more weight.

Don't recall what tires are on the new Rims on Vivid's car but she want them to be replaced with RS2's at my earliest conveinene..... She misses her old RS2.

I like them too. It seems as they have become louder over the life of the car. But the whole car has become louder lately. They seem to be easier to make the rear end step out too than I remember on my old MXs. I also have the 195s on a wider than OEM wheel and they look fine. They will provide more grip than anyone should need on the street.
