I went in this morning, but left about 12:45 to head home. On 635 westbound it was either dry as a bone or frozen solid... nothing inbetween.

BTW, can anyone explain to me why Texas drivers insist on slamming on their brakes while they're crossing icy patches, and nowhere else?

    Buncha %*$@(!& idiots.

I'm a teacher, and I didn't get any time off today or tomorrow.
Working at home has benefits, but when the wife gets sent home because of weather and I'm still in the office slaving away, it is hard to remember the benefits.

Yeah well I was doing between 45-50 on 82 coming from Sherman, right lane was pretty clear, but the left lane was all ice and I had rednecks in huge trucks PASSING me going like 70. Idiots.

YEEOUCH - plenty of wrecks coming up I-35... and plenty of idiots driving 60-70 in trucks and SUVs... I was sliding around like crazy and had enough... I found a room in Waco.

Just heard my school is only delayed 2 hours, so no algebra but still have theater and humanities. At least I'm off work.

I dont work until 9:30, but I figure we are going to be open. I dont think a few hours are going to make a difference either. It isnt supposed to get much over freezing. I guess Ill leave extra early.
