    I got an '02... much more room.

    Same principle as the Civic... unplug harness, remove seal, unclip bulb, remove bulb. Never touch bulb glass. Never handle hot bulb. Or, if really bored, get bulb hot, quickly remove, and drop in (large, distant) bucket of ice water.

    Would you expect any less from the "slightly cynical and abrasive, but extremely helpful" Miata board?

    First time I changed the Civic lamp, I sent the driver side spring into another zip code. Learned to use a flashlight...
