Yeah, how many did you put on it yourself? I bought my car 2.5 yrs ago with only 122k miles! That's around 40k miles a year...no wonder I'm broke with gas prices!

about 125k....but remember, I've had lots of Miatas...now over half a million since the first one in 1989

Bought mine with 90k so I guess about 50k miles. 30k miles on my 10AE and I'd guess maybe 15k on my exes Miatas.

BTW, I've had a Miata since 1997 so Merv has 8 more years of Miata ownership than me! Still, a million miles in Miatas is amazing!

Congrats Merv... just another testament to these great cars!

I've logged a few as well.

1990 183K, (it now has over 360K and still running in Chicago)
1995 145K, (don't know where it ended up, also in Chicago)
1999 30K (went to ex #2 before it was broke in)
1999 178K, (ex #3 rolled 200 before she sold it. I still see it around Ft Worth)
2003 67K and still climbing, (I don't do as many cross country drives now)

I think that comes to 573K, and I'll enjoy the next mile as much as the last one.

There will be no more Miata's for ex's. I have a good pre-nup now.

Heck, a Miata isn't even broke in until it has 100k on the clock.

Time for you to start thinking about a timing belt though.

I have one ready to install...didn't get to it when I did my CAS seal and other gaskets but it looked really good still. I also have a front seal to do to. Too much to do no time to do it.
