    C'mon guys - it's a freakin' Miata. Y'know, a roofless car with a chassis that dates back to the late '80s? It's going to flex over railroad tracks, whether you tie the shock towers together or not.

    Now if you tied the front and rear shock towers into an eight or ten point cage you might notice a difference in rigidity...

    Only in my spousal relations after I explain the cost of 8 or 10 point cage!

    Default Back to your question about rear sway bar...

    My advice on the rear sway question is to keep your stock bar on for the time being, then once you are familiar how the car handles on the autocross courses, try disconnecting the bar for a comparison. It's going to depend on your car set-up, your driving style, and the surface you are racing on. Mineral Wells may be a good candidate for no rear sway.
