Question about bike storage
Can I hang my bikes from large hooks in the ceiling without damage to the rims? The hooks will go into ceiling studs. I'm just concerned about the rims warping from the weight of the bikes. These bikes are only Target bikes, less than $100 each but I still don't want to damage them.
Thoughts?
BTW, we don't ride these bike very often but don't want to get rid of them either.

Just picked two these up off flea-bay. The idea of lifting the bikes up and down upside down seemed like a lot of trouble and the price seemd good compared to the retail shops.

Yeah and $5 for additional ones so I got two of these for $35 shipped. One for mine and one for my wife's bike. The boys can park their's on the back porch as they ride them all the time.
They hold 50lbs so they may be able to be used for a hard top if you added some nylon webbing straps to the hardtop.
Once I get them I'll report on the quality. The dude has a great eBay reputation.
I just used 2 of those threaded rubber-coated U-hooks and screw them into the garage ceiling. I hang both of my bikes from their wheels.
