I think down around Grandview or Hillsborro and again about VAN OR TYLER
    it was 2.30
And to think in 1972-73 it was only 35 cents

I'm giving away my age here, but I remember traveling cross country with the family as a kid, and my dad would't stop if gas was $.59, as he put it, they were gouging us! haha

I worked at a Fina station in Gainesville, TX in 1967. We were in a "gas war" with a Premier station at the other end of the block. IIRC gas went down to $0.179/gal.

And, we did have pink air.

I remember paying 64.9 cents in Waco, back in 1991 after we kicked Sadam's butt the first time.

Petrol is down to $2.30 out in Garland now.

Even as young as I am, I remember gas being as cheap as $.70 as late as '97!

I remember when I was a kid. Think it was .21 to .22 cents a gallon. To put that in perspective. If you filled up the Cadillac with 18 gallons it only cost $3.76. AND you got a free 20 ounce glass with full service.

Before the Cadillac we had one of these.

When I was a kid with a mini-bike, I remember gas for less than 25 cents a gallon. I could fill-up my mini-bike (lawn mower engine), give the attendant (before self-serve) a quarter and get change back!
