04 MazdaSpeed Miata for sale

Hey guys, I have put my red M'Speed Miata up for sale. It's in like new condition, just turned 11K miles, never raced or autocrossed, garage kept and covered. I did drive it at Deals Gap a couple of weeks ago, tail of the dragon and had a blast, other than that, just local driving stuff. Asking 16,500. Photos provided on request.

Sounds like you want more torque! Nothing a little Track Dog TLC can't fix. You know a Miata will kick the Corvettes ass on the track so torque isn't everything.

That IS a nice car, and I had considered calling Adam when I first saw it for sale, but I need to sell the Miata before I can pick and choose.

It's not so much the torque I'm after...I love this damn thing. However, I want somehting with a bit more trunk space and elbow room so that when the spouse and I decide to take a trip, we can take more than a small duffel bag and a bag of pretzels. Heck, I can even throw the two schanauzers in a Corvette and still have room for luggage. But everytime I see this car just sitting in the garage, or when I take it out alone for a drive through the twisties, I wonder why I want to get rid of it.

Now, my friend from Louisville, Jim Moore, has both, Miata and Corvette Z06. He had intended to sell the Miata and buy the Corvette, but decided to keep his 99 and turbo it, among other nice mods. So now, on large autox courses, he drives the Z06 in SM2, and on the smaller stuff, he kicks ass with the Miata...and it does kick ass. Final event of the year yesterday in Lexington, and he gets 2nd top time of day of the 100 plus drivers, including a couple of C Mod cars...
