Wow, I definitely got Iain'd today. Miatamoto beat me in my own car by three seconds (1:11 vs. 1:14)! Talk about getting one's handed to them!

Good job, Thomas. That 1:11 was smokin!

Good to see everybody today. It's been a while since I've driven a stock Miata and the first time I've driven a 1.6. Thanks for the co-drive jrj512!

aalvarez04 thanks for sharing the pics and big thanks for helping out with the engine removal yesterday! BTW, great driving on those dead tires.

Didn't notice any fires under the hood, did you?

My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.

Leave it to Thomas to win 1st in class no matter what he's driving. We need to throw in in Z in a 5000 pound supercharged Range Rover Sport and see how he does :)

Great track though, very road course oriented and good traction once it dried up.

Poor car. That's probably as close as its owner will ever let it get to an autocross course.

Well, I was going to run a couple of fun runs in it until CosmosMpower offered up his RX-8 on Konis, Mazdaspeed springs and RA-1s. It was impressive even though I forgot to turn off the traction control on the first run and ran into fuel starvation on the second.

BTW, we forgot to check for fires after I drove jrj512's car. It must have slipped my mind. Despite all of this talk of jrj512's 1.6 being slow, his car obviously runs great. The Konis kick ass, and I guess I should have saved my pennies for those when I was in E-stock. Throw Andy Hollis's "stock" rebuild 1.6 in there and you'd have a killer E-stock car.

If he'd sell, he'd be able to do the nice things to the '8!
