Default You might not be a =^..^= if...

If you crash in the final 3km of a Tour de France stage and think you broke your collarbone... But the doctors remind you your collarbone is made out of titanium because of the last time you broke it and is now indestructible... So you ride in the following day's stage... you just might not be a .

It's the one where the chase cars are full of hypodermic needles. The fella hanging out the window can give you a shot at 45mph and hand you a protein bar at the same time.

Well... probably not... It could also be that he was running a decent wheel with LOTS of tension to make it more responsive when turning... You ride a FINE line between making the wheel more responsive & durable and making it just one yellow dog away from a limp taco...

I don't mean the wheel bending, I mean hitting the dog in the first place

Seemed to me there could have been an alternative.... like turning left instead of right

Well consider that he might not have seen the dog because...

    1. It was blocked by the other cyclist.
    2. He was looking at the course up ahead.
    3. The video was slowed down and he was actually going faster.

How good are the brakes on those race bikes anyways? Seems for the loss of weight they might go with a smaller pad as they try to keep their momentum going anyways. Who need grippy brakes?

Eh, looked to me like he was steering right to get out of the dogs way when the dog was obviously going to keep moving in that direction. He should have steered left, that way he would have passed the dogs rear end. As it was he dead centered him. If he was looking at the course ahead, he was probably seeing the dog too

    Mokey would like to contribute...

If you nail a guardrail, flip over the handlebars, and roll over the side of the mountain while descending an Alp... and then stroll casually back up the hillside, remount the bike and finish the stage, you just might not be a =^..^=

If you ride multiple stages of the Tour De France with a broken coccyx (while sitting on one of those tiny racing seats)... you might NOT be a =^..^=
