Anyone know a good machine shop preferably in Ft Worth that does cylinder head rebuilding on a Miata head? One that will do it right? And of course quickly?
TIA,

John Day is a great guy, but he's in Richardson. Also, if he's not too busy, he's very fast.
do you really want someone to rush motor work?
another +1 for John, super nice guy and great work.
Mark52 used a shop in Arlington, you might want to PM him about that. They might be just a machine shop though b/c I'm pretty sure he did all the assembly himself.
When I was looking at getting motor work done, I called Alamo and asked them who they used for their machine work. I don't have the info anymore, but they don't hesitate to tell you if you ask. I do remember that the shop they used back then was also in Arlington.
There's a good shop I've used before called Arlington Automotive Machine... A guy named Eddie runs the place - kind of a man of few words, but he does solid work. I think juxt3r may have some experience with him too:

Thanks for your posts guys.
I live west of Springtown....45 minutes northwest of the west loop 820. Arlington is southeast of Ft Worth. There's gotta be someone closer.
I'll use a guy in Springtown I've already talked to if I have to. Since my 95 has LDAs so there's no hassle with getting the clearance set after a valve-job, maybe this small-town shop guy can do it??? He had a lot of 16v jap heads in his shop...but I didn't see a Miata head.
I would prefer someone Miata experienced. I heard once about a shop in White Settlement...anyone know about it??? What it's called???
Maniac Mitch.
Guys,
My testing last night now makes me think I have a ring problem in #4 instead of valve seal problems. See my thread "99-00 engine".
Thanks,
