Discovery
When we started taking apart the car to put in the SC / IC Gary pointed out something I had not noticed before.
It seems that the guy who rebuilt the car cut out about a foot of the front frame and bolted on a metal bar in it's place.
Just thought I would share that funny tid bit with you guys that haven't heard about it already.
I guess I just better not hit anything.
I know a guy that is a certified welder that is going to fix it better than the patch job done on it but it still sucks...oh well what do you do.
I plan on adding a RB brace under the car to go with the front sway bar and the shock tower brace, and pray I dont take a cone head on...lol

I will post some when I get the car back, probably in a day or two

Where are the pics, and what did you end up doing to correct or improve it?
-
sorry, will take some tomorrow.
haven't done anything yet i will have to take te nose off and have the welder look it over and see what he can do to semi fix it.

whats scary is looking at what comes from the factory as the front frame...lol
talk about skimpy, i think either way you hit anything more than a beer can and its over.

Not True!
My Mom's 1991 Miata pushed over a concrete barier at about 55mph in it's final day. She walked away with bruises and a couple of broken ribs from the air bag deployment.
