Forget the Elise (the Sport Pak can't fit decent rubber anyway) - the Porsche 911 GT3 is going to make mincemeat out of the Z06s. Looks like the cost to play in Super Stock just tripled. :shock:

Time will tell. I think it's going to be closer than you think.

Just so happens I got to see a GT3 and the Lotus yesterday at the TAMU autocross. Lotus was not there to run. Just to show. The front tires on the Lotus sure are skinny. It was not a sport. But still I nice looking car. The driver said he was ready to get out of the car after 2 hours on the hwy. So maybe there will be some for sale after people figure out they are not great daily driver cars.

Now the GT3 could handle a dally driver task. I am guessing if you can afford one you would be at work A Lot!. The GT3 had 3 drivers. My Miata beat it as did all the ZO6's at the event. Now the ZO6 drivers are national caliber drivers and have trophied before.

But if John Ams or equal driver shows up in a GT3 they would have a good chance to win in SS. It would be an expensive experiment to find out.
